SEBI Updates Monthly Cumulative Report Format for Mutual Funds; New Submission Rules Effective August.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has revised the format for the Monthly Cumulative Report (MCR) required from all registered mutual funds. The updated format, effective from August, mandates reporting based on scheme types: income/debt, growth/equity, and balanced schemes. Reports should be submitted by the 3rd of each month via fax or email, with hard copies delivered by hand or courier. The MCR should reflect cumulative data for each financial year, starting with April-July 2000. Monthly detailed statistical reports (MSTATs) should be sent only in soft copy. For clarifications, mutual funds may contact SEBI.
