of <h1>SEBI Enforces Dematerialised Trade Settlements for 115 and 275 Scrips Starting September and October 2000.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued a circular mandating the compulsory settlement of trades in dematerialised form for a list of 115 and 275 scrips, effective from September 25, 2000, and October 30, 2000, respectively. Many companies from these lists have not signed agreements or established connectivity with depositories. Consequently, their shares will only be traded on the 'trade for trade settlement' window of exchanges. This measure aims to ensure compliance and streamline the trading process in dematerialised securities for all investors.
