of <h1>Chennai Customs Introduces iCODE and ICEDASH for Digital Processing of Import/Export Documents; Feedback Due by March 14, 2019.</h1> The circular from the Commissioner of Customs, Chennai, informs importers, exporters, and customs brokers about new initiatives for processing Bills of Entry (BE) and Shipping Bills (SB) in the Indian Customs EDI System (ICES). The initiatives, named iCODE and ICEDASH, aim to digitize customs documentation and improve efficiency. iCODE will send digitally signed BE and SB documents with QR codes to registered email IDs, replacing physical copies. A pilot phase is operational, and feedback is requested by March 14, 2019. Stakeholders in the Chennai Zone are encouraged to register on the ICEGATE portal to receive electronic documents and notifications.
