of <h1>ICES Advisory 01/2019: Declare Standard UQC in Bills of Entry for Data Quality, Effective February 18, 2019.</h1> ICES Advisory 01/2019 mandates the declaration of Standard Unit Quantity Code (UQC) in Bills of Entry to improve data quality and standardization in the EDI system. Effective from February 18, 2019, the advisory requires traders to declare both the Standard UQC and the commercial UQC for each item in the Single Window Table of the Bill of Entry. The Info Type will be CHR, and Info QFR will be SQC. This declaration is essential for valuation and quantity-based validations, and failure to comply will prevent the submission of Bills of Entry.
