of <h1>New Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations 2018: Apply Now via ICEGATE for Shipping and Export Operations.</h1> The new Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations (SCMTR), 2018, are set to be implemented soon. Importers, exporters, customs brokers, steamer agents, and other industry members must apply to operate under these regulations. Applications are initially open for shipping lines, agents, and exporters, requiring details of the applicant entity, authorized personnel, intended operations, and supporting documents. Applications are submitted via the ICEGATE portal and reviewed by customs officers through the ICES system. Entities, especially those using e-Sealing, should register on ICEGATE promptly. Any issues should be reported to the customs office.
