Under this system, once importers register their goods, necessary verifications are conducted before duty payment. Upon duty payment, the Customs Automated System electronically clears the Bill of Entry. The previous manual presentation of the bill for clearance is discontinued, and an automated queuing system is now operational. Officers can manage bills of entry using various system options, including setting aside for further verification or raising queries directly with importers. This initiative aims to improve efficiency and reduce processing time.
