of <h1>Kolkata Customs Waives Late Filing Charges for Bills of Entry Due to e-Sanchit Portal Delays in July 2019.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs in Kolkata has issued a public notice exempting charges for the late filing of Bills of Entry for consignments with entry inward dates from July 8 to July 9, 2019, and Bill of Entry dates between July 8 and July 10, 2019. This decision was made due to delays caused by the e-Sanchit Portal's slow generation of Image Reference Numbers. For any further delays after July 10, 2019, importers or customs brokers must provide evidence of their filing attempts. The Additional or Joint Commissioner will handle waivers for late filing charges in these cases.
