of <h1>DGFT Announces Electronic Transmission of MEIS and SEIS Duty Credit Scrips for EDI Ports Effective April 10, 2019.</h1> The circular announces the phasing out of physical copies of the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) and Services Exports from India Scheme (SEIS) Duty Credit Scrips when issued with an EDI port as the port of registration. Effective from April 10, 2019, these scrips will be electronically transmitted by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) to the Customs system, visible in ICES for relevant officers. Physical presentation of scrips is replaced by electronic verification through the DGFT website. Paperless scrips are not valid for non-EDI ports, and physical scrips remain for non-EDI ports. Changes to procedures have been notified accordingly.
