India Requires Digital Document Uploads for Exports via eSANCHIT, No More Hard Copies Accepted, per CBIC Circular 43/2018.
The Government of India mandates the use of eSANCHIT for exports, requiring exporters and customs brokers to upload digitally signed supporting documents at the time of filing shipping bills. This is in accordance with CBIC Board Circular No. 43/2018 and Notification No. 33/2019. The procedure aligns with the existing eSANCHIT process for imports. Hard copies of documents are no longer accepted. Any implementation issues should be reported to the Joint Commissioner of Customs. This initiative aims to enhance paperless processing under the SWIFT system across all ICES locations in the country.
