Customs Department Launches CIM for eSealed Export Cargo Tracking Under New Sea Manifest Regulations; Pilot at ICD Tughlakabad.
The Customs Department has introduced the Customs Inland Manifest (CIM) for eSealed export cargo, as part of new Sea Manifest Regulations. Exporters must file the CIM before cargo leaves their premises, facilitating tracking until it reaches the export port. Technical guidance and a utility for filing CIM are available on the ICEGATE portal. Exporters are urged to register for eSeal and file Shipping Bills in advance. The CIM includes details of the Shipping Bill, vehicle, containers, and eSeals, aiding real-time tracking and risk management. A pilot is underway at ICD Tughlakabad, with plans for broader implementation.
