of <h1>India Launches Project Imports Module in Customs EDI to Streamline Registration and Management Under 1986 Regulations.</h1> The Government of India has introduced a Project Imports Module in the Indian Customs EDI System (ICES) to replace the manual process of managing project imports under the Project Imports Regulations, 1986. This module facilitates the registration of projects, bond registration, filing of provisional Bills of Entry (BES), and finalization of the same. The process includes generating a project number, mandatory bond registration, and maintaining a project ledger. All ongoing and future projects must be registered in this system, and import declarations must include the project number. Any issues should be reported to the Deputy Commissioner in Bangalore.
