of <h1>India Launches 'Turant Customs' to Boost Ease of Doing Business Ranking in Trading Across Borders.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Public Notice No. 03/2019 regarding the 'Turant Customs' initiative, aimed at improving India's ranking in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Index. Currently ranked 80th in the 'Trading Across Borders' category, the goal is to reach the top 50. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is leading this next-generation reform, which includes a comprehensive package of measures to be implemented over the coming months. Stakeholders are encouraged to report any implementation difficulties to the designated office.
