of <h1>Trichy Customs Zone Expands: Covers All Tamil Nadu (Excluding Chennai Areas) and Puducherry (Excluding Mahe, Yanam.</h1> The Customs (Preventive) Zone in Trichy has been reorganized, effective January 15, 2018, altering jurisdictional boundaries. The Commissionerate now covers the entire state of Tamil Nadu, excluding areas under specific Chennai jurisdictions, and the Union Territory of Puducherry, excluding Mahe Commune and Yanam Territory. Customs operations previously managed by Coimbatore, Madurai, and Salem Central Excise & GST Commissionerates will now fall under Trichy Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate. This includes airports like Coimbatore and Madurai and various ICDs. Customs work such as warehousing and procurement certificates will be handled by designated officers in Trichy. Any implementation issues should be reported immediately.
