of <h1>RBI Extends Banking Hours for Government Transactions Until Midnight on March 31, 2016, to Facilitate E-Payments.</h1> The circular, dated March 30, 2016, informs that the Reserve Bank of India has instructed all agency banks to keep their designated branches open for government business on March 30, 2016, and until 8:00 p.m. on March 31, 2016. Electronic transactions are allowed until midnight on March 31, 2016. This extension is aimed at facilitating e-payments by Assessees. Trade associations, chambers of commerce, and RAC members are requested to inform their members about this extension.
