of <h1>GST Commissionerate Established in Jammu & Kashmir; Aligns with Customs & Excise Jurisdiction, Effective June 22, 2017.</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Tax & Customs has established the GST Commissionerate in Jammu & Kashmir, with its headquarters at Rail Head Complex, Jammu. The jurisdiction aligns with the existing Customs & Central Excise Commissionerate, covering the entire Jammu & Kashmir state. The Commissionerate is organized into several divisions and ranges across Jammu, Samba, and Srinagar, each with specific territorial jurisdictions. Temporary office locations are designated for some ranges until permanent sites are secured. All previous trade notices related to the reorganization of Central Excise Divisions are withdrawn, effective June 22, 2017. The notice encourages trade associations to disseminate this information.
