<h1>SEBI Shortens Securities Settlement Cycle from T+3 to T+2 Effective April 1, 2003.</h1> The settlement cycle for securities transactions will be shortened from T+3 to T+2, effective April 1, 2003. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has established a detailed schedule for this transition, requiring confirmation of all trades by 11:00 a.m. on T+1, with an exceptional window for late confirmations available until 1:00 p.m. Custodians must issue instructions for pay-in of securities by 4 p.m. in physical form and by 6 p.m. in electronic form on T+1. Pay-in of securities and funds must be completed by 10:30 a.m. on T+2, with pay-out by 1:30 p.m.
