of <h1>Deep Sea Fishing Trawlers Now Under 100% EOU Scheme; Duty-Free Imports Allowed Without Strict Bonding.</h1> The Central Board of Excise & Customs has decided to include deep sea fishing trawlers under the 100% Export Oriented Units (EOU) Scheme without requiring strict physical bonding. This allows duty-free import of trawlers under notification no. 13/81-Cus. The permanent and secondary operational bases must be specified in the Approval Letter, and a warehousing license can be issued for importing spares. The Ministry of Agriculture will monitor operations, and Customs will oversee export documentation and inspections. Field formations are instructed to regularize past provisional imports of deep sea fishing trawlers accordingly.
