of <h1>Guidelines for Importing EOU 'Rejects' into DTA under ITC Order No. 33/85-88 and OGL No. 22/85-88.</h1> The circular outlines the conditions under which 'rejects' from 100% Export Oriented Units (EOUs) can be imported into the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) under the Import Trade Control Order No. 33/85-88 and Open General Licence No. 22/85-88. 'Rejects' refer to products with manufacturing defects that cannot be exported. To qualify, these items must be certified by the EOUs as unavoidable rejects due to technological flaws, stamped as 'REJECTS,' and verified by the Assistant Collector of Customs and Central Excise. This permission is granted by the Central Government under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1947.
