of <h1>New Sea Cargo Regulations Enforced Soon: Shipping Lines and Exporters Must Apply via ICEGATE.</h1> The New Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment Regulations (SCMTR) are set to be enforced soon, as per Board's Notification 38/2018. Stakeholders, including Shipping Lines and Custodians, must apply to operate under these regulations. Exporters using the e-Seal facility must also apply. Applications are submitted via the ICEGATE portal and require details of the applicant, authorized personnel, intended operations, and supporting documents. A guidance note on the application process is available on ICEGATE. Entities, especially IECs, should register on ICEGATE immediately. Any implementation issues should be reported to the relevant authorities.
