of <h1>Government Amends Duty Drawback Rates Effective February 2019 for Various Products Including Jewelry, Mobile Phones, and Motorcycles.</h1> The government has amended the All Industry Rates (AIRs) of Duty Drawback effective from February 20, 2019, following representations on issues from the revised rates implemented in December 2018. Enhancements in AIRs/caps include items such as leather upholstery, synthetic fibers, tufted carpets, silk articles, adult boots, gold jewelry, and mobile phones. Rationalization applies to silver jewelry, and a cap removal for PCB drills. New tariff items have been created for better export product differentiation, including nylon and polyester filament yarns, armature components, and motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of 500 cc and above. Difficulties in implementation should be reported to the Board.
