The Ministry of Finance directs that seized documents not incriminating or required for proceedings should be promptly identified and returned to avoid unnecessary storage and responsibility. A procedure should be established to ensure documents are returned within six months of seizure. Officers must scrutinize records to segregate unnecessary documents for return, and progress should be reviewed quarterly. A report detailing cases where documents have not been returned post-proceedings should be submitted quarterly to the Board.
