Indian Customs: New Mandatory Testing for Pesticide Residues in Dried Curry Leaves Export to EU, Effective January 18, 2013.
The circular from the Indian Customs Office informs stakeholders about mandatory requirements for exporting dried curry leaves to the European Union. The Spices Board has mandated testing for pesticide residues, specifically Profenofos, Triazophos, and Endosulfan, effective from January 18, 2013. Due to EU notifications via the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed, exports must now include an analytical report from the Spices Board and a Health Certificate as per EU regulation 885/2014. All stakeholders, including exporters and Customs Brokers, must comply with these updated requirements.
