of <h1>India Revises Duty Drawback Rates: Enhanced AIRs for Leather, Carpets, Gold Jewelry; New Tariff Items Introduced.</h1> The Government of India has amended the All Industry Rates (AIRs) of Duty Drawback effective from February 20, 2019, following representations regarding the rates implemented in December 2018. Key changes include enhanced AIRs for items such as leather upholstery, synthetic fibers, carpets, silk articles, adult boots, gold jewelry, and mobile phones. The AIRs for silver jewelry have been rationalized, and the cap for PCB drills made from tungsten carbide has been removed. New tariff items have been introduced for better export product differentiation. Authorities are advised to issue public notices for guidance and report any implementation difficulties.
