of <h1>New Bunker Supply Procedure for Foreign Vessels: Streamlined Operations, Cost Reduction, and Mandatory Checklist Filing via EDI/ICEGATE.</h1> The procedure for supplying bunkers to foreign vessels at outer anchorage has been modified to streamline operations and reduce costs. Exporters or their agents must file a checklist for the shipping bill via EDI/ICEGATE, detailing vessel and consignor information. Invoices should be in foreign currency unless otherwise compliant with trade policy. After assessment, goods are examined and loaded under supervision, supported by surveyor reports. The preventive officer will endorse the shipping bill upon verification. All documents must be submitted post-discharge for final approval. Vessels must be registered for petroleum transport, and applicable fees for customs services apply. Difficulties should be reported to the Commissioner of Customs, Chennai-III.
