SEBI Mandates Mutual Funds to Upload NAVs by 9 PM on AMFI and Own Websites or Face Reporting Requirements.
The circular from SEBI addresses the time limit for mutual funds to update their Net Asset Values (NAVs) on the AMFI website. Effective immediately, mutual funds have until 9.00 pm to upload NAVs, including those of Fund of Funds schemes, on both the AMFI and their own websites. If NAVs are unavailable before the next business day, a press release must be issued explaining the delay. Delays beyond 9.00 pm require written explanations to AMFI. Mutual funds must report any non-compliance in their bi-monthly Compliance Test Reports, detailing reasons and corrective actions. This circular aims to protect investors and regulate the securities market.
