of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: New Requirement for Importer Exporter Code Applications Includes Individual's Photo, Name, and Designation in IEC.</h1> An addition has been made to the Handbook of Procedures (Volume I), specifically as a sub-paragraph to paragraph 2.9, under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009. The Director General of Foreign Trade mandates that applications for the issuance or modification of an Importer Exporter Code (IEC) must include the name and designation of the individual whose photograph is on the Bank Certificate. Additionally, the individual's photograph, name, and designation must be affixed to the IEC number issued. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
