State Bank of India shifts customs duty collection hub from Vizag to Guntur for Kakinada Custom House transactions.

The State Bank of India's Focal Point Bank for customs duty collection and duty drawback payments under the EDI system has been changed from Vizag to Guntur for the Kakinada Custom House, under the jurisdiction of the Vijayawada Customs Commissionerate (Preventive). This change, effective from May 23, 2018, was approved by the Principal Chief Controller of Accounts, CBIC, New Delhi. The State Bank of India, Main Branch in Kakinada, will now be linked with the Treasury Branch in Guntur for these transactions. The move aims to streamline financial operations within the specified jurisdiction in Andhra Pradesh.
