of <h1>Excise Duty Refunds for Diesel and Furnace Oil: New Procedure for Export Units and Tech Parks under Foreign Trade Policy.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures Volume I under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. The amendment specifies that for the supply of High Speed Diesel or Furnace Oil from domestic oil Public Sector Undertakings, Terminal Excise Duty will be refunded based on a duty-paid certificate issued by the respective PSU. This refund applies to quantities procured by Export Oriented Units, Electronic Hardware Technology Parks, Software Technology Parks, or Biotechnology Parks for production activities. Annexure I to ANF 8 provides the format for the certificate issued by PSUs, ensuring no deemed export benefits are claimed by the PSU.
