of <h1>Mumbai Customs Extends e-SANCHIT Deadline for Electronic Document Submission to April 1, 2018; Physical Copies Not Accepted.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs (Import) at the Air Cargo Complex in Mumbai issued Public Notice No. 57/2018, announcing the extension of the deadline for mandatory electronic submission of supporting documents for Bills of Entry via the e-SANCHIT facility. Initially set for March 15, 2018, the new deadline is April 1, 2018. From this date, physical documents will no longer be accepted, and the system will require IRN numbers to confirm document uploads. Stakeholders facing difficulties can contact the Assistant or Deputy Commissioner of Customs (EDI) for assistance. This notice serves as a Standing Order for customs officers and staff.
