of <h1>DGFT Simplifies EODC Process: Automatic Acceptance with 5% Checks; Verifies Non-EDI Bills to Prevent Fraud.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has streamlined procedures for handling Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC) requests under Advance and EPCG Authorizations. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has advised that EODCs from DGFT Regional Authorities should generally be accepted without further verification, except for detailed checks in 5% of cases. However, all non-EDI Shipping Bills must be verified due to past instances of document fabrication. To avoid redundant checks, DGFT has amended forms ANF-4F and ANF-5B to include declarations of EDI/non-EDI Shipping Bills used, ensuring clarity in Redemption/EODC requests.
