The program offers benefits such as faster cargo clearance, deferred duty payments, and paperless declarations. Businesses can achieve different certification tiers, with importers and exporters eligible for up to three tiers (AEO-T1, T2, T3). Indian Customs encourages businesses to apply for AEO certification to access these benefits. An AEO cell has been established at the Customs House in Kandla to assist and manage relationships with AEO-certified entities.
