of <h1>Customs Waives Penalties for Late Bills of Entry Due to Holi Festival System Error on March 1, 2018.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs issued a public notice waiving penalties for late filing of Bills of Entry due to the Holi Festival on March 2, 2018. The holiday was not accounted for in the Customs System, resulting in late filing charges for goods landed on March 1, 2018, with Bills of Entry filed on March 3, 2018. To facilitate trade, no late filing charges will be imposed for these consignments. Trade associations and stakeholders are urged to disseminate this information, and any difficulties should be reported to the Commissioner.
