of <h1>SEBI Updates Annual Custody Charges for Issuers: Rs. 8 Per Folio, Effective April 1, 2009. Pay by April 30 Each Year.</h1> The circular issued by SEBI revises the annual charges that issuers must pay to depositories for custody services, effective April 1, 2009. Charges are based on the number of folios (ISIN positions) at the end of the financial year, with a fee of Rs. 8 per folio and minimum fees ranging from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 50,000 depending on the nominal value of admitted securities. Issuers must pay by April 30 each year to avoid penal interest. Stock exchanges and depositories are instructed to amend relevant regulations, inform issuers, and report implementation status to SEBI.
