of <h1>Amendment to Handbook: EOUs and SEZs Converting to DTA Can Apply for EPCG Authorization, Requires NOC from Development Commissioner.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I) for the period 2004-2009, specifically updating paragraph 5.4 as of April 11, 2008. The amendment allows an Export Oriented Unit (EOU) or a relocated Special Economic Zone (SEZ) unit converting to a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) unit to apply for an Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) authorization. Applicants must submit the necessary documents, including a 'No Objection Certificate' from the relevant Development Commissioner. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
