This requirement aligns with the 'National Voluntary Guidelines on Social, Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Business' issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in July 2011. These guidelines emphasize responsible business practices and structured reporting on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects. The circular specifies the format and content of the BR reports and requires stock exchanges to ensure compliance and amend their Listing Agreements accordingly. The provisions become effective from the financial year ending on or after December 31, 2012.
