New Guidelines Ban EOUs from Selling Imported Marble in Domestic Market Under FTP Para 6.9(b.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has issued guidelines prohibiting Export Oriented Units (EOUs) from selling imported marble in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) at concessional or full duties under specified Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) paragraphs. The Board of Approval has confirmed that EOUs cannot conduct DTA sales of marble under FTP para 6.9(b). Despite these restrictions, unauthorized DTA sales persist. To prevent this, EOUs are now required to specify the quality, color, type, and name of marble in import and export documents. This directive has been approved by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
