<h1>Securities Lending Framework Revised: New Eligibility for 'Group I Security' with Rs. 100 Crore Limit and Turnover.</h1> The circular outlines revisions to the Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) framework to enhance its benefits and facilitate efficient margin collateral use. Eligible scrips for SLB now include those classified as 'Group I security' with a Market Wide Position Limit of at least Rs. 100 crores and a minimum average monthly trading turnover of Rs. 100 crores in the preceding six months. Stock exchanges will review eligibility biannually, and existing contracts in ineligible scrips can continue until expiry. The circular, effective July 1, 2013, mandates stock exchanges, clearing corporations, and depositories to implement necessary changes and inform relevant parties.
