of <h1>Vanaspati Manufacturers' Credit Recovery Halted; Board Reviewing Section 11D of Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944.</h1> The Board has been informed that field formations are initiating proceedings to recover money credits availed by Vanaspati Manufacturers under Notification No. 45/89-CE(NT) dated 11.10.1989, citing Section 11D of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. The issue is currently under examination by the Board. All Commissioners of Central Excise are instructed not to take any immediate action to enforce such demands until the Board reaches a decision.
