of <h1>Ministry of Finance Clarifies No Change to Central Excise Stamp Procedures Despite Removal Process Updates; Rules 80 and 81 Deleted.</h1> The circular issued by the Ministry of Finance clarifies that despite the inclusion of 'Matches' under the Self Removal Procedure as of July 23, 1996, there are no changes to the procedures concerning the affixing of Central Excise Stamps for their clearance. The existing procedures for payment of duty via these stamps remain unchanged. The modifications pertain only to the removal process, with the deletion of Rules 80 and 81, but do not affect the stamp-related procedures, which should continue to be followed as before.
