New Guidelines for E-Commerce Exports via Postal Services: Use Postal Bill of Export-II for Multiple Shipments.
The circular issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs addresses the procedure for e-commerce exports through postal services and clarifies aspects of personal imports. Following consultations with industry stakeholders, it was noted that many low-value, small shipments typical of e-commerce are sent via post, with exporters receiving single payments through normal banking channels. To facilitate these exporters, the Board has allowed the use of Postal Bill of Export - II for multiple shipments to various consignees. This modifies a previous provision in Circular 14/2018-Customs dated 4th June 2018.
