of <h1>Mumbai Customs Mandates Paperless Bill Processing via e-SANCHIT from March 1, 2018 for Faster Import Clearances.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Mumbai, announces the mandatory implementation of a paperless processing system for bills of entry using the e-SANCHIT facility, effective March 1, 2018. Initially introduced on a pilot basis, this system requires digital uploads of supporting documents for specific Appraising Groups. Importers and Customs Brokers are encouraged to utilize this system for faster import clearances. Feedback and queries regarding the implementation can be directed to the designated officials via email. This notice serves as a standing order for customs officers and staff.
