of <h1>High Court Allows Maize Imports by Actual Users Under Normal Duty, Maintains Status Quo on Notification No. 93.</h1> The High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana issued an interim order in response to a challenge against Notification No. 93 (RE-2013) concerning the import policy for maize under EXIM Code 1005. Initially, the notification moved maize from the 'State Trading Enterprises' list to 'free,' but the court maintained the status quo until December 17, 2014. On December 31, 2014, the court allowed maize imports by 'Actual Users' under normal customs duty, not TRQ duty, pending further orders. This directive remains in effect until further notice, as approved by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
