Duty Credit Scrips Validity Extended to 24 Months Under Handbook of Procedures Amendment, No Revalidation Allowed.
The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended paragraph 3.13 of the Handbook of Procedures (2015-2020) to extend the validity period of duty credit scrips issued under chapter 3 of the Foreign Trade Policy. Previously valid for 18 months, these scrips, issued on or after January 1, 2016, will now be valid for 24 months from the date of issue. Revalidation of these scrips is not allowed unless specified under paragraph 2.20(c) of the Handbook of Procedures. This change aims to provide a longer timeframe for utilizing the duty credit scrips.
