International travelers can email Export Certificate forms with flight details to customs. Bring triplicate copies for verification.
International passengers frequently traveling can now download and fill an Export Certificate format, emailing it with flight details to a specified customs email. Passengers must bring a hard copy in triplicate to the airport. Customs officers will verify goods against the form, checking details like logos and serial numbers. For high-value items and jewelry, invoices and valuation certificates will be examined. The Export Certificate, valid for three years, is issued by the Superintendent of Customs and countersigned by the Assistant/Deputy Commissioner. This process supplements existing certificate issuance options at the office and airport.
