According to a Public Notice by DGFT, only shredded scrap imports are permitted from specified ports, with Bandar Abbas being the only listed port. Due to recent incidents involving explosives and arms found in unshredded scrap from Bandar Abbas, customs officers are instructed to monitor shipments from nearby ports for potential diversion. Field formations must be informed, and feedback should be provided to the Board.
