of <h1>AEO Tier I Exempt from Sample Drawal for Drawback; Public Notices Required for Guidance and Feedback.</h1> The circular from the Central Board of Excise & Customs, dated May 29, 2017, announces an exemption for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate holders from the requirement of sample drawal for drawback purposes. Previously applicable to Tier II and Tier III AEOs, this exemption is now extended to Tier I AEOs as well, unless specific information or intelligence necessitates sample drawal. The circular instructs relevant authorities to issue public notices and standing orders for guidance and requests that any difficulties encountered be reported to the Board.
