of <h1>New Circular Simplifies Registration for EOUs, EHTPs, and STPs for Duty-Free Imports Across Ports.</h1> The circular outlines a simplified procedure for the registration of Export Oriented Units (EOU), Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP), and Software Technology Parks (STP) for duty-free import clearance. Previously, units had to register at each port of import, causing delays. Now, once registered at one port, units can clear imports at any port without additional registration. Required documents include a Letter of Permission, Private Bonded Warehousing License, and others. Registration is granted within five working days, and verification should not delay the process. The circular encourages wide dissemination and requests feedback on implementation difficulties.
