of <h1>Air Conditioners Without ODS Freely Importable Under EPCG Scheme; HCFC-22 Policy Under Review per Policy Circular No. 35.</h1> Importers, exporters, and trade members are informed that air conditioners, compressors, chillers, and water coolers without Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) can be freely imported under the EPCG scheme and normal imports. The policy regarding air conditioners containing HCFC-22 is under review. Importers must declare in their Bills of Entry that the equipment does not contain ODS and provide a supplier certificate during the assessment or examination of goods. This directive aligns with the Policy Circular No. 35 and is supported by the Director General of Foreign Trade's clarification.
