New Container Movement Process: No More Annexure-A, Triplicate Applications Needed, Steamer Agent Bond Required.
The procedure requiring Annexure-A for the movement of containers from docks has been discontinued following recommendations from the Public Grievance and Customs Advisory Committees. A new process mandates applications for container removal to be prepared in triplicate and signed by the applicant and the Shipping Agent. These applications are presented to the Preventive Officer at the gate, who records the removal details and updates a register. A General Continuity Bond must be executed by the Steamer Agent. Trade associations are urged to inform their members about these changes.
