of <h1>Customs Office Suspends BRC Verification Module in ICES Software for Drawback Cases Due to Exporter Challenges.</h1> The Customs Office issued a notice regarding amendments to the ICES software related to Bank Realisation Certificate (BRC) entries for drawback shipping bills. The notice refers to a previous public notice waiving certain export declarations for goods and software valued up to US$ 25,000. A BRC verification module was introduced to monitor bank realization of export proceeds in drawback cases for exports from April 1, 2004. However, due to exporter difficulties caused by blocked drawbacks for non-submission of BRCs, the operation of this module has been suspended pending further examination by the Central Board of Excise and Customs.
